Simon is my spirit animal. 

I fell asleep while Oliver & Simon were out in the bathroom & I woke up because Oliver was literally bouncing up & down on my head (I think Oliver really needs babies to play with & release some of his energy). I didn’t see Simon, which was weird because he doesn’t move around a lot…when I fell asleep, he had been cuddling with my hand.

I felt something moving under my sweatshirt & I lifted it up to find Simon curled up by my stomach, chewing on my dogtag necklace with the most pleased expression possible.

I love him, nothing ever bothers him. “Very best rat friend whom I was practically connected at the hip to died? Giant tumor on my face? Crazy young cagemate that apparently does not realize he is a year old & should not be bouncing around like a maniac? Said cagemate steals my food constantly? No longer able to engage in my only hobby, masturbation, because my hind end doesn’t work so well? Eh, whatevz.”

We should all be more like Simon & not get stressed out so easily. He is an inspiration to us all.
